Monday:
Using photo preview -(This is what you used to do the QUAD Photos.
Find an image from the internet. Use the LASSO tool - select an image from the QUAD photo you took last week and insert yourself into the image you took off the Internet. When complete place this image on your Blogger Page.
Tuesday:
Take the image you completed yesterday and open it up in "GIMP"
Find an image of a billboard, similar to what you did last week. Make sure to size your image using the perspective tool and insert your photo into the billboard. Place finished project on to your Blogger page.
Wednesday:
Superstar
Take a photo of yourself using PHOTOBOOTh
Find an image from the Internet of someone you consider to be a famous person.
The goal of this assignment is to place the head of the FAMOUS person on to your body of the photo from photo booth.
Open both images in GIMP. Using the LASSO tool remove the head of the famous person, (you might need to resize the photo so that it will fit on to your body) You can resize by going to the Image/resize image or use the perspective tool in the toolbox. When completed export image and place on to your Blogger. Provide a reason as to why you selected the person.

Quad Photos
Using the photo "Preview" software and the "LASSO" tool incorporate all of the photos taken in the QUAD of you and place them into ONE photo. When complete place the photo on to your Blogger Page and place it on a social media site you use. I am interested in seeing the comments you get from your friends.

Billboard:
Project Billboard
1. Open the image provide of the billboard in GIMP
2. Find an image of your choice and open it in GIMP
3. Most of the time the student image is signigicantl larger than the billboard image so we need to reduce the image. to reduce image select "image" and "scale image". change the size to be 300 pixels wide by "use chain" to automatically resize the height.

Palm Tree, Color Me, Your Choice
This week the class will venture into the world of "GIMP".
GIMP an acronym for (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a free and open-source raster graphics editor used for image retouching and editing, free-form drawing, resizing, cropping, photo-montages, converting between different image formats, and more specialized tasks.
To introduce the software you will be doing a few projects.
Palm Tree
In this first project you will be given a photo a palm tree and modify the image with several different effects.
When ready to save the modified image select "Export". Make sure your image is saved as a JPG or PNG.
Color Me
In this project you will take a photo of yourself using "photo booth" Import the photo into Gimp.
Your Choice
Using an image of your choice - Imput into GIMP and be creative using some either some of the tools from the past two days or explore with something new.

In this project you will take a photo of yourself using "photo booth" Import the photo into Gimp.
- Colors - Threshold - adjust image using the black triangle in the dialogue box. Select done to save changes.
- Tool Box - using the "pencil" with the size of 'one'. Make lines where needed.
- Tool Box - Select the "Paint Bucket" A dialogue box will appear. Select color and pour the paint.
Your Choice
