Today we are going to expand in the area of audio media.
1. The student will revisit SCMplayer.net and increase their playlist to a minimum of 3 songs. See the last blog post for information on how to do this.
2. Today the student will concentrate on downloading some favorite music for use as background music on future video productions.
Download 10 songs from youtube using Offliberty.com (This save music in the MP3 format)
From your download folder place the songs into iTunes.
In iTunes create a playlist. For this assignment you can have up to 84 minutes.
Once you have created a playlist the instructor will provide a CD for use of storing your music.

We will experiment with the website SMCplayer.net. The student is to find a favorite song on youtube.com and place it into the SMCplayer and then place on to their Blogger page.
How to make a SCMplayer.net list
1. Find a song on Youtube, copy URL
2. Go to SCMplayer.net
select a skin color
3. Configure setting......select done
4. Copy Code
5. Open your blogger page....
go to Design/Layout/select Java Script
paste code, name code "music" and save
You now have a new control bar at the top of your page that plays your music list.
You should check out skins.scmplayer.net. This site provide an array of different control skins for the SCM player.

W8 Activity Say Hello to your future self
In this assignment I would like for you to video yourself using the record feature in iMovie. I would like for you to record a message to your future self....Say in 5-10 years from now. Once you have recorded your video I would like you to post it on your blog page. That is it.
OK so what can you say?
You can begin with the easy...what you like to wear, eat, who you're friends are right now, what you like to do. It can get a little deeper if you give some predictions about where you see yourself in 5 to 10 years or longer, and even more deep if you can say how you might get there, what you hope to achieve, where you think the world is headed etc.
You can also make a prediction of things to come. Think of the Back to the Future movie when Marty McFly ends up in the future of 2015 and what they thought life would be like. They were wrong. But it was cool to see. We have a presidential election coming up, you make a prediction who will win. And then what happens if a candidate wins, how might this affect the US.
How long does it need to be? Well that depends on you. I would like something about 30 seconds long.
Can you make the movie with someone else. Yes, but I would like each person to have their own video blog.
To make the video you can use the camera's on the computer, you may use the iPad, or one of the video camera's in the classroom, or you can use your own phone or camera.
I think it would be best to make up some question to ask yourself and write down the answers. You will be able to edit what you record in iMovie. You can make more than one take, meaning if you need to you can redo a portion of the video.
OK, so I know most of us don't think in those terms, but if you jot a couple of notes down before you begin filming, it may make it easier when the camera is on you. Remember you will be looking back on this video someday.
If you are worried about others seeing the page you can create another blog page to post it on. But to get credit from me I will need that link. You can either include it in an email or put a link on your "main" page.
This project will be due on Friday Jan 15th
