W6 - Make UP Week

Ok folks we just passed the half way point of the 3rd quarter last week.   Grades were entered over the weekend and I was disappointed in the amount of A's I gave out. I like giving out A's. I did not give out enough.   All you have to do is the work.

Please take up my offer and do some make up work this week while I am gone on T, W, & Th.

So what am I looking for?          

The work that has been assigned the past four weeks.....

W2 .... A 10 image video was due. 10 images, your choice, with a beginning and ending titles, transition between each image and music in the background. Render video at  SD quality and place on your blog page.   50 points

W3.....Quotes Video. A total of 30 - 40 images and quotes telling a story. Beginning and ending titles, some transitions and music in background. Approx. 2.00 minutes in length minimum.....50 points

W4.....High 5.  Using the video taken in class of student high 5'ing each other, make edits at the beginning and end of each clip, so that each clip starts and ends with a palm of a hand. Beginning and ending title, music in the background..........50 points.

W4.... OA  Who is Scolia, what happened to him recently.. 10 points

W5.....There were a few OA's this week. 10 points each...
Difference between a cyclone and a hurricane?  One hit the Fiji Islands last week and recorded the fastest wind speed ever, what was it? 10 points

What is your desired career after school? If you do not have one, think of something that interests you. What would it take to be that?...10 pts

What do you like to do after school?....10pts

Please make the effort to finish as many of the projects that you started that you can, especially if you have not yet finished them. Remember:  post your final project to your blog page!

Take the free time to do some extra credit.
Make another Quotes video. Worth and extra 50 points.....
Or do a Google Fly By using Quick Time Player to screen capture a fly by.  50 points.........

As part of this project edit the video - separate into individual clips
Reverse the Walk video.   Option - you can slow mo a portion of the clip.
Add music to clic.

W4 Feb 16 - 19

Mon: Opening Assignment. On Saturday the USA lost Antonin Scalia. Student assignment - What was his job, and who appoints him to the position he held at the time of his death?

This week the student will be working on the "High Five" video.  The student will be supplied video footage of students and staff of HHS. The student will use their editing skills and put the clips together. The final product should have an opening and ending title, one must contain the students name. The clips shall be put to music.

Quotes Video

For this project the student will pick a topic such as "Anti Bullying", and create a video with quotes and images. The length of the video should be approx. 2 min minimum. Include a beginning title with the name of the video and your name, and include an end title. A musical track should be included.

We have some new students who need to familiarize themselves with iMovie. I expect those that have been in the class for awhile should be able to kick #ss on this project.
