W8 Activity Say Hello to your future self
In this assignment I would like for you to video yourself using the record feature in iMovie. I would like for you to record a message to your future self....Say in 5-10 years from now. Once you have recorded your video I would like you to post it on your blog page. That is it.
OK so what can you say?
You can begin with the easy...what you like to wear, eat, who you're friends are right now, what you like to do. It can get a little deeper if you give some predictions about where you see yourself in 5 to 10 years or longer, and even more deep if you can say how you might get there, what you hope to achieve, where you think the world is headed etc.
You can also make a prediction of things to come. Think of the Back to the Future movie when Marty McFly ends up in the future of 2015 and what they thought life would be like. They were wrong. But it was cool to see. We have a presidential election coming up, you make a prediction who will win. And then what happens if a candidate wins, how might this affect the US.
How long does it need to be? Well that depends on you. I would like something about 30 seconds long.
Can you make the movie with someone else. Yes, but I would like each person to have their own video blog.
To make the video you can use the camera's on the computer, you may use the iPad, or one of the video camera's in the classroom, or you can use your own phone or camera.
I think it would be best to make up some question to ask yourself and write down the answers. You will be able to edit what you record in iMovie. You can make more than one take, meaning if you need to you can redo a portion of the video.
OK, so I know most of us don't think in those terms, but if you jot a couple of notes down before you begin filming, it may make it easier when the camera is on you. Remember you will be looking back on this video someday.
If you are worried about others seeing the page you can create another blog page to post it on. But to get credit from me I will need that link. You can either include it in an email or put a link on your "main" page.
This project will be due on Friday Jan 15th

W7 Activity Create New Blogger Page
The student will create a new Blogger Page on a topic of their own choice.
Start by going to your current blogger page and click the "B" blogger icon on the top left corner of page.
On the new page click the 'New Page' icon. Create a name for your page. You may have to try more than one before you hit on a name that is unique to you.
